Recently, The Burman had visited the YEC orphanage, donating food and spending time with the children. Additionally, we also kept in mind to understand and learn about their dreams and daily lives.
When we arrived at YEC, we met with the monk first. He briefly explains what their orphanage is like, and we read out loud Buddhist scriptures together. After that, we split into two groups. One group is for playing with the orphans and another group is for interviewing the people in the orphanage. We interview people of different ages and we know more about their thoughts and dreams. Listening to their dreams made us happy and inspired us to help them more because we believe they deserve more opportunities.
While we were interviewing and playing games with the orphans, the children were very energetic and excited to play with us. We played simple games like tag and the duck-duck-goose. The kids ran around laughing, trying to catch each other in tag, while others cheered with their friends. Everyone is smiling, and the orphanage is filled with laughter. We play with them for about 45 minutes, and then we give out snacks to the orphans. After that, I go to the school area. In that area, everybody is studying seriousl,y and they seem to enjoy learning. I believe one day, they can also create a positive impact on society.

All in all, we interview, play with orphans, give out snacks, and talk with monks at YEC. We think that it is very meaningful because we can use what we can do to uplift others. Burman, as a community, will continue to spread kindness to society.
