Nyaung Oo Phee Island, nestled on the Andaman Sea’s west coast, is a dreamy paradise with fairytale-like features. The crystal clear water, the gentle sand, and the rejuvenating breeze envelop the island.

  The minute I stepped onto the island, I could feel the sand gently kissing my feet and the breeze taking me into its lovely arms, welcoming me to explore the unseen nirvana. I couldn’t see anything but the clear water brushing off the coast, leaving a trace of it behind. So I ran- I ran toward the dazzling sea as I left my sorrows behind. Then I submerged my toes into the water and felt the best one minute of my life. After satisfying my excitement, hunger took over me like it had never before. Therefore, I set aside my excitement, brushed off the sand sticking onto my legs, and dashed toward the buffet.

The smell of fresh seafood and traditional food filled up the whole atmosphere of the island, tempting me to devour the endless feast. The mighty sun also has left the human realm as the moon slowly appears in the night sky, shining brighter than ever before. Before I realized it, the clock had struck eight, and the once bright sky had turned into starry night. However, it appeared as if the island wasn’t ready to say goodbye to us before letting us enjoy the last joy of the day. The lights blanketed the whole island and the fun began! The island employees showcased the outstanding traditional dances and sang the sweetest melodies I had ever heard. The night breeze was filled with the fragrance of the flowers and the saltiness of the seawater dances, along with the overwhelming music, as if it were giving us warm comfort.

The laughter and the love given off by the people left me thinking about the sweetness of life. Nyaung Oo Phee isn’t just a destination; it is a paradise where every soul can enjoy peace and explore the incredible in life. The fresh scent, the calming sight, and the refreshing taste of the island will be imprinted in one’s heart even after the journey has ended.
